IMOS' diffractive structures open up new possibilities.

Pixel sizes between 500 nm
(= 0.0005 mm) and 1500 nm are used for the lightdeflecting
structures.

The diffraction structures can be precisely replicated in plastic.

It almost doesn't matter where the collimated light beam vertically shines through the DOE structure. This is
because just a few pixels can diffract the light and create the desired light distribution in the image plane.
