The many machines we use to manufacture optical high-tech products require large quantities of cooling water around the clock.

Here IMOS’ environmental protection policy has seized the opportunity to save valuable drinking water by astablishing a water circulation system. This allowed to reduce production costs for the benefit of our customers.

Example: Aquatic biotope and wild grasses

To give some wild grasses, amphibians and insects a suitable living space, IMOS invests in biotopes set up on the premises. Not only Nature profits from such landscaping, but also the quality of life at the workplace.

IMOS’ products are always designed environment- friendly.
When selecting raw materials, controlling production or making new investments IMOS always examines their benefit and safety with regard to the environment. IMOS’ environmental management system has been accredited by the German Association for Technical Safety Inspection TÜV Rhineland.
