Strong reflection technology secured with new coding
As the worldwide technological leader for reflection optics, IMOS developed the C05 structure range – a reflection structure for polarisation sensing unique in its function.
With this development, the innovative structure can sense even the smallest laser beam highly precisely in every orientation, both vertically and horizontally – without interference. The structure consists of thousands of micro-mirror surfaces, with three surfaces corresponding with each other to form a triple. Every triple has a width of only 0.5 mm.
The optics manufacturer sells the C05 structure for a competitive price as a complete optics component as Lasercube® reflectors. The reflectors in the image above (item number: M125-26) each have 1,500 of these micro-triples.
IMOS produces cost-effective optics with outstanding properties. Due to the continuous improvement process (CIP), it was possible to further optimise the precision and fineness of the C05 structure range every 6 months. To protect the years of development work of the unique structure from pirated copies and counterfeiting, the optics manufacturer produced in parallel a patented coding process. The C05 structure range was coded with this without affecting the surface or the reflection. The protection is only visible from a certain viewing direction. It then shimmers in spectral colours.
