How it all began...
In 1993, our CEO, Hans-Erich Gubela, founded IMOS Gubela GmbH – a private institute for micro-optics and structure.
The goal: to miniaturise reflection structures with the lowest performance loss in the reflection. With a highly motivated group, he built up a successful production team. There was soon a large demand for more optical components for industry, science and research.
And today?
Today, we successfully design and produce optical components with our experience. With our own research, development, measuring technology and production. Through our strong team, we are the first contact for large industry customers throughout the world.

With our research partners we implement ZIM projects, BMBF projects and European Research Association projects. Our research partners are, among others, various Fraunhofer Institutes, the Physikalisch-Technische Bundesanstalt (PTB - the Federal Institute of Physics and Metrology) and various technical universities.

Series production is undertaken on the most modern production systems. Our highly qualified employees ensure the quality standards in accordance with ISO 9001 and ISO 14001.

The responsibility that we have taken on with our quality management system is at the same time a promise to our customers that all processes from development to dispatch of our products are carried out reliably according to fixed quality requirements. This basic idea is consistently followed without exceptions in all areas. “Level A quality” is thus a fixed component of our company policy.
Environmental management system:
Product safety for our customers
The IMOS products are designed in an environmentally friendly way. In the selection of raw materials, production control and with new investments, the benefits and the safety for environmental protection are also always checked by IMOS. The IMOS environmental management system is certified according to DIN EN ISO 14001:2015 by TÜV Rheinland.
Energy management system:
Thanks to our energy management system, we are in a continuous process to reduce the use of water, energy and gas resources.
